Our conservatory is too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter.

November 23, 2023
Our customer approached us searching for a solution to the problem they've been experiencing with their conservatory. After spending over £23,000 on their dream conservatory, it soon became apparent this wasn't going to be the all year-round room they had expected it to be.

Temperatures in the mid-summer months were often exceeding 40 degrees Celsius and in the winter months the room suddenly became cold the moment the heating was turned off

Our solution

Our conservatory roof blinds were installed to the entire roof area including the difficult-shaped panels.

By installing our heat-reflecting pleated roof blinds the temperature in the conservatory was reduced immediately in the summer months.

Equally as important there was no longer the need to be squinting in the sunlight, as the blinds placed the conservatory in full shade.

The roof blinds also perform great in the winter months, the energy-saving material helps prevent heat loss from the conservatory.

The result

The conservatory still became warm in the summer months but it was comfortable to be in. On dull days our customer will open some of the blinds to let in more light into the conservatory.

In the winter months the blinds were great for heat retention. Although the room did eventually become cold when the heating was turned off it retained the warmth for a much longer period of time compared with no blinds.
